Problem:
Oil leak Between Crankcase and Pumping Section:
Probable Cause: Worn crankcase piston rod seals, O-rings on plunger retainer worn.
Solutions: Replace crankcase piston rod seals, Replace O-rings.
Problem:
Frequent or Premature Failure of the Packing:
Probable Cause: Scored, damaged or worn plunger.
Solutions: Replace plungers.

Problem:
Frequent or Premature Failure of the Packing
Probable Cause: Overpressure to inlet manifold
Solutions: Reduce inlet pressure.
Problem:
Frequent or Premature Failure of the Packing
Probable Cause:Abrasive material in the fluid being pumped
Solutions: Install proper filtration on pump inlet plumbing.
Problem:
Frequent or Premature Failure of the Packing
Probable Cause: Escessive pressure and/ or temperature of fluid being pumped.
Solutions: Check pressures and fluid inlet temperature; be sure they are within specified range.
Problem:
Frequent or Premature Failure of the Packing
Probable Cause: Over pressure of pumps, Reduce pressure.
Solutions: Reduce pressure, do not run pump without water.
Problem:
Pump Runs but Produces no flow
Probable Cause: Pump is not primed
Solutions: Flood suction then restart pump.
Problem:
Pump Fails to prime
Probable Cause: Air is trapped inside pump
Solutions: Disconnect discharge hose from pump. Flood suction hose, restartpump and run pump until all air has been evacuated.
